Batthyány tér
Batthyány tér Review
There are tremendous views of Parliament from this square named after Count Lajos Batthyány, the prime minister shot dead in the 1848 revolution. The M2 subway, the HÉV electric railway from Szentendre, and various suburban and local buses converge on the square, and there's even a supermarket here. At No. 7 Batthyány tér is the beautiful, baroque twin-tower Szent Anna-templom (Church of St. Anne), dating from 1740-62, its oval cupola adorned with frescoes and statuary.
