Ulster Hall

Fodor's Review:

The home of the Ulster Orchestra, and host to occasional rock concerts (one of the most famous was marked by Led Zeppelin's stage debut of the song "Stairway to Heaven" in March 1971), Ulster Hall was built as a ballroom in 1862. The hall was the venue for the political rallying of Nationalist politicians, among them Charles Stewart Parnell (1846-91) and Patrick Henry Pearse (1879-1916), before the Irish Republic was formed in 1921. There's also a splendid Mulholland Organ, a Victorian instrument of considerable size. There's no charge for looking around when shows are not going on.
