Norse Merchant Ferries has 11-hour daytime or overnight car ferries that connect Belfast with the English west-coast port of Liverpool every day. P&O European Ferries has a one-hour sailing to Larne from Cairnryan, Scotland; infrequent trains take passengers on to Belfast. The SeaCat high-speed catamaran sails between Belfast and Troon in Scotland, between Belfast and Glasgow, and between the Isle of Man and Belfast. The StenaLine HSS fast catamaran sails between Belfast and Stranraer, Scotland in 1 1/2 hours.
