In a quiet part of town, just a short walk from the lively quayside area, the Lodge is a traditional-style two-story gabled house with off-street parking. Inside, it is cozy and unfussy, with pine floors, leather arm chairs, and walls painted mostly in rich reds and warm yellows. It makes a comfortable, friendly, and convenient base for a visit to Westport, and has much repeat business. The most sought-after bedroom has a four-poster bed and an open fire, but all are spacious with pine furniture and coordinated striped curtains and spreads. Rooms have flatscreen TVs and fridges, and there is a computer for guests in the lounge. The small back yard has been given over to a flock of hens, which can be watched through the dining room window as you eat your breakfast egg. Don't forget to say thank you.
