Fodor's Review:

A good guesthouse should cheer you up when you come home at the end of a long day's touring. This large, late-19th-century terraced house with an elegant white facade will bring a smile to your face every time. A five-minute walk from St. Stephen's Green, Kilronan flaunts richly patterned wallpaper and carpets in its guest rooms, while orthopedic beds (rather rare in Dublin hotels, let alone in guesthouses) help to guarantee a restful night's sleep.

Gem in city center

The staff was superb in helping us. We had a large group of people and several children. There was some confusion with our reservation but they were quite accomodating. Great comfortable bed, clean place, excellent service, and can't beat the price.

Wonderful service, below average rooms

We just returned from Ireland staying the first 3 and the very last night at Kilronan House. The location is excellent and the staff warm, friendly and helpful although at times they were overworked. The first room we had was on the fourth floor and that translates to climbing 60 stairs with heavy luggage. It was a nice enough room, but the second room we were given on our last night (also on the fourth floor!)was very small, the bed uncomfortable and the shower wouldn't drain. However, we had such a great time in Ireland overall we didn't let it bother us too much. Next time we go I think I'd like to try another spot.
