O'Connell Memorial Church

Fodor's Review:

The O'Connell Memorial Church, a large, elaborate, neo-Gothic structure that dominates the main street, was built in 1888 of Newry granite and black limestone to honor the local hero Daniel O'Connell. It's the only church in Ireland named after a layman.
