Cork Opera House

Fodor's Review:

It's an unattractive concrete hulk that went up in 1965 to replace an ornate and much-loved opera house that was ruined in a fire. Later attempts to integrate the opera house with its neighbor, the Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, have softened the grim facade. The piazza outside has sidewalk cafés and street performers.
