There are taxi stands at Cork Airport, Cork Railway Station, and on Patrick Street. It costs EUR 3.10 to hire a taxi on the street (EUR 4.20 by night, EUR 5 on Sunday and bank holidays); add EUR 1.50 to book one by phone, and EUR 1.80 per kilometer or part of a mile. For journeys outside the 6-km city limit, the average price is EUR 2 per kilometer, and the price should be agreed before setting off.

Taxis will also be found at railway stations in Tralee, Killarney, Limerick, and at Shannon and Kerry airports.
