Fodor's Review:

From Ballynahinch, take N59 to the small seaside town of Roundstone, where you can find this delightful music shop and museum. Artisans here have been handcrafting bodhráns (Irish drums) here for dozens of years. The workshop is in an old Franciscan monastery with a beautiful bell tower. Besides the bodhráns, you can buy traditional CDs, books, and coffee – and you can also expect a good chat. If you wish, you can have your drum hand-painted with your family crest, a Celtic design, or your initials while you wait.

  • Open: May, June, Sept., and Oct., daily 9:30–6; July and Aug., daily 9–7; Nov.–Apr., Mon.–Sat. 9:30–6
