This extensively modernized 1736 house on 100 acres of farmland offers magnificent views in nearly every direction: the Aran Islands to the west, the Cliffs of Moher to the south, and the gray limestone rocks of the Burren to the north. The interior is decorated with antique touches, such as four-poster beds and Georgian reproduction furniture. You can savor the view from the restaurant's bay windows while enjoying Continental cuisine ($$-$$$$), featuring top seafood, with an atmosphere nicely enhanced by Regency chairs and dusky pink napery. It's on the coast road in the Fanore direction, about a 10-minute walk north from Doolin village.

I recently stayed here for two nights. The room was strangely decorated, but was very clean. I liked the bathroom a lot, it was very large. The breakfast was fine. The service was fair, but the front desk was not very friendly. My main issue was not the hotel, I would not stay in Doolin again. There is nothing to do.
