Up a tiny side street not far from the Piazza Duomo, the Amalfi is unassumingly decorated with small, somewhat characterless modern-style rooms (get one with a geranium-filled balcony if you can) without a great view. However, the place's central location, the friendly welcome of the Lucibello family (who also run a boat-hire business), and the roof terrace where you can breakfast in the warm morning sun make this a great deal if you want to be in the center of the action while keeping an eye on the budget.
