Within the Castello Aragonese at Ischia Ponte, with rustic rooms that peer down into the Mediterranean hundreds of feet below, this is the ultimate in ambience combined with the peace and quiet of a traffic-free area. Rooms are on the simple side, but the management is friendly and tries to warm things up. You can also choose to dine here in the casual cantina (for guests only), if you can't face the climb down to the town. This is a highly popular hotel, so book way in advance.
