Albergo Cappello Review

In operation since the late 19th century and marvelously restored a century later, this charming place reflects a Venetian influence, with many Murano chandeliers hanging in the high-ceiling, wood-coffered public rooms. The second floor, where most of those are sited, has well-appointed furniture and lots of fresh flowers; and the breakfast room is adorned with a vibrant border of 17th-century frescoes. Such simple elegance extends to guest rooms, with their comfortable beds and sweeping drapes. On site is a lively wine bar serving light meals lunches and dinners (often with themed menus), plus a restaurant serving local specialties.
