Teatro della Pergola Review
Theater lovers might want to try an evening at Teatro della Pergola. The season runs from mid-October to mid-April. If the idea of hearing a play in Italian is too forbidding, visit the lovely theater. Built in 1656 by Ferdinando Tacca, and once the private theater of the grand dukes, it was opened to the public in 1755. The theater has undergone several metamorphoses; its present incarnation dates to 1828, and the atrium was constructed nine years later.
