Fodor's Review:
Gardone's tranquillity is its greatest attraction, but that doesn't inhibit conviviality. Visitors and locals alike relish a passeggiata (stroll) along the lakefront, stopping perhaps to enjoy an ice cream or aperitif. La Terrazza, in the Grand Hotel Fasano, is particularly elegant. Winston Churchill reputedly enjoyed more than a few brandies in the belle-epoque surroundings.
