Milan, Lombardy, and the Lakes Sights

Bardolino Review

The town famous for its eponymous red wine hosts the Cura dell'Uva (Grape Cure Festival) in late September-early October. It's a great excuse to indulge in the local vino, which is light, dry, and often slightly sparkling. (Bring aspirin, just in case the cura turns out to be worse than the disease.) Bardolino is one of the most popular summer resorts on the lake, on the eastern shore at the wider end. Here there are two handsome Romanesque churches: San Severo, from the 11th century, and San Zeno, from the 9th. Both are in the center of the small town.
