Although it's not primarily a restaurant, luncheon in the covered pavilion of this legendary bathing lido of the Marina Piccola is Capri at its most picture-perfect. With two seawater pools, a rocky beach, and I Faraglioni in the distance, it was the erstwhile haunt of Gracie Fields, Emilio Pucci, Noël Coward, and any number of 1950s and '60s glitterati. The VIPs may have departed for more private beaches, but this setting is as stellar as ever. You need to pay a fee (€20) to actually use the bathing stabilimento (club), but why not make a day of it? There are five suites available, too, in case a day is not enough. Boats also depart from here for Da Luigi, the lido/restaurant at the base of I Fariglioni.
