Though in an unflattering location up a narrow vicolo (alley) off the Riviera di Chiaia, this restaurant has achieved cult status for its seafood platters. It's remarkable what Giovanni, the owner-chef, can produce from his tiny cucina. Try to create some space for the richly garnished pasta dish mezzanello, with its full complement of seafood, and perhaps follow it up with a pezzogna (blue-spotted bream). Like most of the restaurants near the seafront, Dora has its own guitarist, Roberto, who is often robustly accompanied by the kitchen staff.
