With wide terraces and wood paneling, this longtime landmark in the center of Courmayeur is the most elegant spot in town, and the cheery rooms have plenty of amenities. The hotel's restaurant is renowned for its regional and national cuisine—the scaloppina alla valdostana (fillet of veal with cheese, wine, and nutmeg sauce) is excellent. Light lunches are served in the hotel bar. The heated outdoor pool, with its panoramic view, is a great place to relax after a day on the slopes.
