Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco (International White Truffle Fair) Review
From the second Saturday in October to the second Sunday in November, Alba hosts an internationally famous truffle fair, held on weekends. Merchants, chefs, and other aficionados of this pungent, yet delicious, fungus come from all over the world to buy and to taste white truffles at the height of their season. Though the affair is very commercialized, it still makes Alba a great place to visit in the fall. Note that hotel and restaurant reservations for October and November should be made well in advance.
