Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta Restaurants

Casa Vicina

Casa Vicina Review

Hidden away in the basement of the Lingotto food emporium, this establishment is one of Turin's top restaurants. The decor is starkly modern and, without windows, might seem claustrophobic to some, but the food makes up for everything. Traditional dishes, particularly those from northern Piedmont, are served up with creative style. Among the antipasti, the insalata russa con acciuga (Russian salad with anchovies) is as tasty as it is unusual. The agnolotti alla Vecchia Eporedia are an equally delicious rendition of the commonly found pasta dish, served with the pan juices of roast veal. The wine list is an encylopedia, with many small wineries included.
