$$-$$$, Italian, Piazza Navona
Fodor's Review:
This casual but trendy spot is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine or a meal in the city center. It sits in Piazza della Pietra, the site of the equivalent of the old Roman stock market, and you gaze out onto towering ancient Corinthian columns that make you feel very, uh, recent in the grand scheme of things. No matter, the cheery, modern decor -- walls hung with colorful paintings by local artists, lots of glass -- and hip young waiters will bring you back to the present day. So, too, will the simple but innovative menu. Go for the tasty duck breast with a raspberry-balsamic sauce.
