Alpine chic without high expense or pretense includes contemporary decor with warm pine, ceramics, rich textiles, and beamed ceilings; all but three rooms have balconies and "charme" suites include hydromassage tubs. Genzianella is a bike-friendly hotel: there's safe storage, a sportswear laundry, mountain bike rental, maps, and even an instructor. Lifts to the Alta Valtellina are 50 yards from the entrance, and there are lockers for ski equipment.
