You have two choices here: stay in the restored 19th-century villa or opt for the ultramodern (and slightly more expensive) "Next" wing. In the villa, large double doors open onto canopy beds and Alpine-style wood ceilings and paneling, while "Next" offers rich colors and spare furnishings in starkly angular rooms. Some have sunken Japanese baths and gardens. Centuries-old trees shade the terrace, and high-design chaises surround the pool that's painted entirely black.
