Locanda dell'Amorosa Review

What was a self-sufficient hamlet with its own chapel in the 14th century is now a refined inn. Some rooms have stunning views, others a private garden or terrace. All have sumptuous fabrics flowing around windows and woven rugs on the terra-cotta floors. The grounds teem with rambling roses, thick lavender, and multicolor geraniums in spring and summer. The restaurant ($$$-$$$$) has candlelit tables next to stone walls and the Tuscan menu has flights of fantasy such as risotto primavera in spuma di piselli e prosciutto croccante, a rice-and-spring vegetable dish in a creamy pea sauce with fried prosciutto bits.
