The rooms are modest and some of the bathrooms are out-of-date, but the central location, the ample buffet breakfast, and the modest rates make this a good choice for those on a budget. Giuseppina and Lisa, who run this simple yet tastefully decorated hotel, go out of their way to make your visit memorable. Hidden away, at the back of the hotel, is a quiet terraced garden with wonderful views of the roof tops of Volterra-a definite plus during the hot summer months.
