Fattoria di Celli Review

Set on a gentle rise in the countryside outside the castle town of Poppi, this former fattoria—a dormitory housing farm workers—is a tranquil place with lawns punctuated by flowers and modern sculptures, play areas for children, and picnic tables placed to take advantage of mountain views. Apartments and villas have working fireplaces and exposed beams; some rooms have original stone walls. Look for hand-painted details—flowers on an armoire, a stenciled border at ceiling height, a mural on a wall. A one-week minimum stay is required.
