The unpromising location of this "fisherman's tavern," next to busy Via Flaminia, belies the tranquility inside. Once you're seated on the terrace, the clear water of the Clitunno River flows just beyond your table. Sit back, listen for the birds in the trees, and keep an eye out for the occasional fish, on which the menu is based each day. Preparations are clean and simple and at times wonderfully eclectic: one springtime favorite is stringozzi with wild asparagus tips, trout fillet, and tiny tomatoes.
