In the tiny town of Ferentillo, 4 km (1½ mi) south of the Abbazia di San Pietro in Valle, is the place to come for truffles. No-nonsense dishes include a truffle omelet, which allows the truffles to be enjoyed without competing flavors. Second courses include grilled kid, lamb, and roasted pork. There is a garden for outside dining in good weather. The eatery is 18½ km (11 mi) northeast of Terni, 28 km (19 mi) southeast of Spoleto.
