You're in residential rather than tourist Venice here, but the front rooms still have a wonderful lagoon view. Dating from the 15th century, the simple building underwent a complete makeover before opening in 2003 as a hotel with high-quality services, an elevator, and a canal-side entrance for guests arriving by water taxi. The 15-minute stroll along the waterfront between Piazzo San Marco and this friendly gem of a hotel is through a genuinely "local" part of the city, with plenty of cafés and restaurants. One of the rear rooms has direct access to a pleasant rooftop terrace with tables.

Best Location, very clean and nice staff

This hotel is in the perfect location in Castello, easy to find, far from the madness of tourists, yet just 10 minute leisurely walk to San Marco. The hotel was very clean, breakfast was plenty and the staff was very helpful and friendly, but not overly, just the right amount. My single room was small, but since I was hardly ever in the room, I had more than enough room. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
