    Scriba Review

This is great little art gallery at the opposite end of the piazza from the Frari Church. They have a variety of handmade paper goods, but primarily houses low to mid-priced art. Susan Sarandon has bought pieces here (there is a photo of her in the gallery).

If not investing in art and looking for "something from Venice", of interest for tourists is the art of Amaranta De Francisi, an artist from nearby Verona who specializes in whimsical views of Italian cities and villages, and in particular of Venice. Style reminds me of Laurel Birch or Thomas McKnight. Originals were about 1,200 Euros or more, but they also sell lithos of her work starting at about US$50 to a few hundred for limited editions.

I bought a piece here and can confirm the gallery shipped it via Fed Ex and I have received it at my USA address in good condition.
