This corner of Campo Santo Stefano is one of the most pleasing locations to sit and watch the Venetian world go by. The constant motion of the café staff assures you'll receive your coffee, spritz, panino, or tramezzino (sandwich on untoasted white bread, usually with a mayonnaise-based filling) in short order; consume it at your leisure either at one of the outdoor tables, at the bar, or take refuge at the tables in the back. They'll whip you up a fresh salad or a hot primo, and they offer a delectable tiramisu for dessert—homemade, just like the sandwiches. Closing time is 9 pm, making the Angolo a good alternative to a more-elaborate evening meal.
