La Villeggiatura Review
If eclectic Venetian charm is what you seek, don't be dismayed by La Villegiatura's unprepossessing entrance or the number of stairs (36) you'll climb to reach this lofty attic lodging: your reward is a luminous residence and six individually decorated rooms, each with its own original, theatrically themed fresco by a local artist. There's traditional furniture, but the amenities are all contemporary: signature linens, free Wi-Fi throughout, and a kettle in every room. Tiled baths may or may not have a tub, but all have complementary kimonos; every bed is king-size. You'll find Venetian parquet flooring in the larger rooms, while electronically controlled skylights may entice you to book the two upstairs "garrets."
