When to Go

April through October is a good time to visit the grand duchy, with spring and early fall being the best. Outside the capital, many museums and other attractions open at Easter and close in October. Landlocked Luxembourg is far enough from the sea so that winters are a bit colder and summers a bit warmer than in neighboring Belgium. Note that a number of the best restaurants are closed for a week or two in August.
