Hôtel Metropole Review

From the moment you walk through the colossal neo-Roman arch, down the cypress-studded lane, and into the cozy Jacques Garcia-designed lounge, you're swept away into a cosseted world where Rothschild Renaissance meets contemporary style. Guest rooms are luxe and tastefully decorated in creams and beiges, and the garden has been transformed into an urban oasis; but the main attraction here—especially for those with a healthy respect for creative, top-notch cuisine—is the restaurant. Legendary chef Joël Robuchon crafts menus that vary from season to season but never fail to delight. Guests can choose from a number of chauffeur-driven half-day and full-day trips, and a number of unusual activities.
