Despite its location, at the foot of the exclusive P. C. Hooftstraat and south entrance to the Rijksmuseum, this hotel is anything but pretentious. It's a lively and friendly place and a good choice for those who want to enjoy the Leidseplein nightlife. The neighboring restaurant is open for lunch and afternoon snacks but closes at 6 PM. The rooms are very plain and the bathrooms are spacious. Pros: friendly staff, close to museums. Cons: rooms facing the tram lines are a bit noisy, rooms can be cramped.
