Fodor's Review:

Housed in a brick building that was a monastery about half a century ago, this hostel has rooms that are no-frills but sparkling clean, with white walls and blue floors. The dorms have bunk beds, and the private rooms have bathroom facilities. As basic as it all is, it's never boring. You can boogie in the disco, drink at the bar, enjoy incredibly cheap meals (guests only) in the dining room. From 5 PM to 6 PM, you'll find your fellow backpackers guzzling beer in the bar during happy hour. And it's all "happening" at Leidseplein, just around the corner. What more could you want? Pros: offers lots of facilities under one roof, you'll meet people from all over the globe. Cons: staff can be brusque, checking in seems to take forever.
