Fodor's Review:
The three renovated 17th-century canal houses that make up this property are charmingly lopsided and quirky-looking, with cheerful, striped window canopies. The historic exterior belies the modern furnishings and comforts you'll discover within, which include an elevator and express ironing and shoeshine service. If you want a view of the Singel canal, book a front or side room. From the hotel, it's just a short stroll to the Kalvertoren and Magna Plaza shopping malls, as well as the Dam Square. Pros: near Amsterdam's best restaurants and bars, lovely facade, doting service. Cons: often noisy on weekends, not all rooms have views.
