This Parisian-looking hotel is on a pedestrian-only street with cobblestones and a terraced square. Rooms are individually decorated, in styles ranging from sedate to cheerful to bold, to appeal to every kind of taste. This is a no-smoking hotel. There is no elevator, and although the stairs are modern (as opposed to steep traditional Dutch staircases), you must walk up at least two flights of them. Pros: efficient staff, close to Rembrandtplein. Cons: some of the rooms are lackluster, slightly run-down location.
