Fodor's Review:
Seeking a little New Amsterdam in Old Amsterdam? Stop by the lounge-bar of this relatively new hotel, where dark oak floors, sleek black tables, low lights, and sequestered seating arrangements evoke an old boys' club in midtown Manhattan -- minus the elitism. In fact, almost all the staff are service-industry students in training. Seek the fireplace out on a chilly night, and on Sundays from September through June there's live samba.
