Just west of Central Station, this sleekly designed glass-and-metal-outfitted restaurant atop an old 1920s railway offers 360-degree views of the IJ river. An open kitchen and a golden bar provide a winning combination of seasonal French- and Italian-inspired dishes; entrées, such as the rack of lamb with shallots and apples, or the cabbage rolls with saffron risotto croquette and smoked garlic sauce, can be ordered as whole or half dishes. However, the views and décor often trump the food.
