The spotless, sparsely contemporary, good-value bedrooms in this early-20th-century house opposite the Concertgebouw are decked out in soothing neutral tones and decorated with photographs of famous jazz and pop musicians. A generous, inclusive breakfast buffet (offering everything from cereals to scrambled eggs and bacon) is put up every morning in the cheerful lounge—when the sun shines you can take your plate into the garden. The main museums are within walking distance, and the Leidseplein is only a few tram stops away.
