Hotel The Exchange Review

All of the rooms in three adjoining buildings have been designed by students and alumni from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute and are unique and funky, with a creative use of specially woven fabrics. An example: in the Eighties Room, walls are covered with a giant 1980s-style "skirt" and "sweater"; to open the curtains, you zip the sweater up. Views and amenities vary considerably, from lower-price interior-view rooms to bright, spacious units with terraces. Also on the premises are Stock, a slow-food restaurant that's great for breakfast, and Options, a shop specializing in Dutch handicrafts and design objects from around the world.
