Amsterdam Restaurants

Ciel Bleu

Ciel Bleu Review

One of only two two-Michelin-star restaurants in Amsterdam, this elegant French dining room—renovated about five years ago—concedes to modernity with hip touches like upside-down tulip-shaped lights and a metallic rose chandelier. But the food here at the "Blue Sky" remains resolutely for those with chubby pocketbooks and expansive palates; the five- or seven-course tasting menus (for €95 or €147.50, respectively, with optional wine pairings) are really the way to go for a celebratory meal. Enjoy beautifully presented classic dishes like goose liver with langoustine and fricassée of lobster or the glazed sweetbreads while enjoying the amazing panoramic views from the 23rd floor of the Hotel Okura Amsterdam.
