Amsterdam Restaurants

Ron Blaauw

Ron Blaauw Review

Though the casually funky decor at this two-Michelin-star restaurant—street art on the wall above the open kitchen, star-shaped lamps hanging from the ceiling—seems incongruous with the primarily business-suited clientele, the modern French-meets-Dutch food will please both the hipster and the corporate warrior. Seasonal ingredients meet creative presentation in prix-fixe menu dishes such as a fillet of brill fish with vegetable "flowers," or a lovely dessert of rose yogurt with raspberry sorbet and nasturtium. Wash it all down with a glass of wine from their thoughtfully chosen list, and be sure to sit on the inviting terrace if the sun peeks through.
