This restaurant has rijsttafel (rice table) to dream about, with creative takes on traditional Indonesian dishes. Rice table is like Indonesian smorgasbord with samplings from the menu. Choose from a multitude of tantalizing options from Indonesian, Javanese, and Sumatran menus. Some diners may find the mock wood carvings a little heavy, given the subtle flavors of the food being served. The large restaurant upstairs could feel quite empty midweek, but the staff are incredibly polite, appearing discreetly at your table just as soon as you feel the need to ask for something. All in all, this probably has the best Indonesian food in Rotterdam, so don't let the decor faze you. If you can't find space in the Dewi Sri, it shares its premises with the adjacent Warisan restaurant, which serves similarly priced and equally mouthwatering Thai food.
