In a 17th-century mansion that was once a bank, this small, gracious restaurant has a traditional beamed dining room that is brightened with flowers, crisp linens, and light filtering through the mullioned windows. Ask for a table with a view of the enclosed garden (open in summer) if you've missed out on a table outside. Try the wild sea bass with parmesan risotto and lobster jus, or one of the delicious soups. The restaurant is convenient to both the Frans Hals and the Teylers museums.
