Gamle Bergen Museum

Fodor's Review:

This family-friendly open-air museum transports you to 18th- and 19th-century Bergen. Streets and narrow alleys with 40 period wooden houses show town life as it used to be. A baker, dentist, photographer, jeweler, shopkeeper, and sailor are represented. Local artists often hold exhibitions here. The grounds and park are open free of charge year-round.

  • Cost: NKr 60
  • Open: May 8–Sept. 4; guided tours every hr 10–5
