Taking the E6 north from Oslo will eventually lead you through Vinstra and Otta, the park's closest towns. Nor-Way buses link these two towns with Oslo, with three departures daily. The journey takes just under four hours.
There are also several train services between Vinstra and Otta and Oslo daily. The journey takes 3½ hours.
