Lillehammer Kunstmuseum (Lillehammer Museum of Art) Review

One of the most important art collections in Norway is housed at the Lillehammer Kunstmuseum, which opened in 1927. The 1,000 works include pieces by Edvard Munch, J. C. Dahl, Erik Werenskiold, Christian Krogh, and Adolph Tidemand. The original 1963 building has been remodeled and joined by a new building designed by Snøhetta, the firm behind the new Oslo Opera House. Sculptor Bård Breivik created a sculpture garden using stone and water between the two buildings.
